Systems Limited Appoints Asif Akram As Chief Operating Officer

June 30, 2020, Lahore – Systems Limited has announced the appointment of Asif Akram as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the company.

Asif Akram comes with extensive management experience of delivering IT and IT-enabled services spanning over 2 decades. Being a part of leading IT services providers in the region including IBM and PwC, he is a cross-industry consultant who led sales and delivery of numerous consulting, transformation and system integration projects. He has held several senior executive positions in IBM Global Business Services (GBS), including being the Vice President & General Manager for IBM GBS across Middle East, Africa and Turkey. An MBA in Management Information Systems, he is passionate about talent growth and leadership development and mentors several experienced and young leaders.

As COO, his role will cover the delivery of all services of the organization including talent growth and he will be responsible for driving operational excellence, improve efficiency and build upon Systems Limited’s strong foundation for achieving growth.

Despite the ongoing economic crisis in the country, Systems Limited closed 2019 with consolidated profits of Rs. 1.56 billion, up to 48% higher from Rs. 1.06 billion in 2018. The growth continued in 2020 as the first quarter consolidated profits soared by 71.15%. The company reported a profit of Rs. 526.80 million as compared to a profit of Rs. 307.80 million during the same period last year.
