Lahore episode of “QA Meetup – Inventing QA for Emerging Era” hosted by Systems Limited

Monday, December 2nd, Lahore – Systems Limited (SYS), powered by its Quality Assurance competency, hosted another QA Meetup at FAST – NUCES, Lahore. The event theme was the role of quality assurance in different aspects of business processes in the technology industry. This was the second event by Systems QA, following the QA meetup in Karachi a week earlier, and was dedicated to QA professionals and C-level executives.

The event began with a welcome note to the audience by the Rector of FAST University, followed by Naureen Anwar, Vice President of Quality Assurance and Special Projects at Systems Limited. Five speaker presentations by seasoned experts from the industry were lined up for the event, followed by a panel discussion that included experience QA experts from various career backgrounds.

The first speaker was Fareed Kamran, an Agile Coach at Systems Limited, who talked about the role of quality assurance in Agile. The second speaker of the event was Usman Khan, Senior QA Manager at NorthBay Solutions. He enlightened the audience about effectively testing today’s ecosystem.

Moving on to information security, Umar Hyatt, Manager of Information Security at Allied Bank, emphasized on the importance of information security for organizations. Kashif Chaudry, Sotware Architect at Arbisoft spoke about the shift from quality assurance to quality engineering.

Ahsan Akhtar, CEO of MeetAhsan, a Pakistan-based learning platform for automation engineers to further learn and get certifications on automation, was called to the stage to talk about his experience of automation and how to become good at automation. He engaged the audience with his speech and answered questions.

Between speeches, there were Q&A sessions with the audience by Zunair Haseeb, AVP QA Services at Systems Limited. Attendees with the best answers received prizes.

The event’s panel discussion focused on the future of quality, the real-world impact it has on businesses, and the challenges it faces. Adeel Siddiqui, QA Advisory at Systems Limited, moderated the discussion. The panel included Zunair Haseeb, AVP QA Services at Systems Limited, Rizwan Jafri, QA Lead at Sendoso, Zohaib Faran, Consultant at Alphabold, Sadia Malik, Ex-Manager at Kualitatem and Usman Riaz, QA Manager at CureMD.

Next, Khalid Javed, Head of Quality Assurance at Sabir’s Poultry (Sabroso) gave a guest speech in which he described his experience in quality assurance.

To conclude the event, Naureen Anwar presented commemorative gifts to the speakers and panellists.
