Punjab Land Records Authority Digitalizes Land Records Management
Established in 2017 under the administrative control of the Board of Revenue, Government of the Punjab, The Punjab Land Records Authority (PLRA) was formed with the aim of automating land records, improving service delivery, and enhancing the perceived level of tenure security. PLRA required an automated land administration database that gave landowners easy access to their records, efficiently recorded, transferred and verified rights to land, reduced scope for fraud and supported effective and easy activity monitoring. Systems was chosen to rapidly implement a complete, error-free database migration and provide a centralized land record management system that integrated with systems at GIS and NADRA and included existing functionalities.
