Systems MEA successfully launches the first-ever edition of Disrupt in Oman

Wednesday afternoon, 15th March 2023, in the Grand Hyatt of Muscat, Oman saw the successful culmination of the first edition of Disrupt – Systems MEA’s flagship event in collaboration with Microsoft in the MEA region. It was a customer-focused roundtable session featuring prominent banking customers and industry experts.

The event began with an opening ceremony and a welcome note, followed by a Keynote speech from the honourable Sheikh Saif Hilal Al Hosni – General Manager of Microsoft Oman, Bahrain, and Pakistan. The speaker discussed the imminent need for digital transformation for banks to stay relevant amidst evolving times.

Furthering his stance on Microsoft’s state-of-the-art digital solutions portfolio, Saif said, “In response to the growing need for digital transformation across industries and to help move industries forward, we have built capabilities, which can accelerate innovation for sustainable growth.”

Following Saif, Muhammad Irfan, Business Development Manager for MEA region at Systems MEA, discussed the potential of Microsoft Dynamics 365 and its impact on the front and back-end banking ops. Azure, Open AI, and Power Platform capabilities were also highlighted. Irfan presented Microsoft Dynamics 365 stack and its integrations with other power packs that can help banks develop a thriving ecosystem.

Banks will be enabled to truly get the connected system for informed decision-making through Dynamics 365.

While weighing in on the capabilities of Dynamics 365, Irfan remarked, “With the D365 ecosystem, banks will be enabled to truly get the connected system to facilitate multi-channel marketing, customer acquisition, service, back-office automation, analytics for better and informed decision-making, and AI/ML along with future channels integrating with the same ecosystem.”
