MoU signed between Systems Limited and FAST – NUCES – Chiniot/Faisalabad Campus

November 8, 2021 – Systems Limited and the National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences (FAST) Chiniot/Faisalabad Campus signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the training and development of students to fulfil future talent needs.  

This MoU envisions creating synergies between Systems Limited and FAST – Chiniot/Faisalabad by offering scholarships, training, certifications, and workshops held by Systems professionals to aid academic pursuits, enhance skills, and enrich the practical knowledge of university students. FAST Chiniot/Faisalabad Campus students will be offered internship opportunities and a chance to work with Systems Limited.  

The objective of this MoU is to explore areas of mutual collaboration and cooperation between Systems Limited and FAST Chiniot/Faisalabad Campus to share knowledge and hold various academic collaborations for the students of FAST Chiniot/Faisalabad.  

This collaboration will assist graduating students in multiple aspects and help bridge the gap between academia and industry by empowering them with tech-market exposure. Considering the current market trends and future industrial needs, it aims to work on curriculum enhancement through joint efforts of university faculty and Systems professionals. Academia-centred periodic newsletters will be shared to highlight the current and future challenges, achievements of Systems Limited, and promising scope in the tech landscape for students. Furthermore, final-year students of FAST can also connect with the Systems professionals to get an industrial perspective for their Final Year Projects (FYPs).  

The organization aims to strengthen the bond by designating SL Ambassadors at FAST to coordinate activities and events and talent hunt drives and organize industrial visits of faculty and students, and tech-based competitions to test and enhance the technical skills of the students. Alumni records will be maintained to offer relevant employment opportunities at Systems Limited, as well as facilitation in research, where necessary.
